Onigiri Workshop

Join our Onigiri Workshop held at a nearby local café, reserved exclusively for our guests.
Learn how to make traditional Japanese rice balls using fresh local ingredients, and enjoy a warm and authentic cultural experience.

This is also a great opportunity to meet local people and connect with the community in a relaxed atmosphere.

Kagura Cultural Experience

Kagura is a traditional Japanese performing art combining powerful dance, dramatic storytelling, live music, colorful costumes, and expressive masks.

Originally performed as a sacred ritual for the gods, Kagura has been passed down through generations and remains an important part of local culture in this region of Hiroshima.

Even if you do not understand Japanese, the energetic movements, heroic battles, drums, flutes, and mythical stories make the performance exciting and unforgettable.

We used to run an organic restaurant in Hiroshima City, serving dishes made with vegetables we grew ourselves.

Over time, we came to realize that the true richness was not only in fresh produce, but in a life connected to the land.

Wanting to share that way of life with others, we renovated a 100-year-old traditional farmhouse and created Cherie Farmstay.

Here, you will not find famous tourist attractions or busy entertainment districts. Instead, you will discover beautiful countryside landscapes, traditional Kagura performances passed down through generations, and the quiet rhythm of satoyama life.

The mountains change with the seasons, mornings begin with birdsong, and nights are lit by the moon and stars. We believe there is a special kind of richness in these simple moments.

Our goal is not simply to provide a place to stay.

We hope our guests can slow down, reconnect, and experience the beauty of rural Japan through food, culture, and everyday life.
